I took Bob for his weekly blood draw today.
Lately, although he likes to get up and go places, by the time we run one simple errand he is too tired to get out of the car and get into the house.
Yes, he can still walk, but he is just so tired. He also has issues figuring out how to move most efficiently.
Our nights are much better though.
So, he would not/could not get out of the car after the blood draw. I had skipped some other errands because I thought he would want to get home and rest. Since he was still in the car, I headed back to Marion for those other errands.
About two miles from town on kind of a back road, I heard a sound that sounded like something caught under the van. The noise would not stop. Then I saw something hanging from the roof of the van.
I found a safe place to stop. Then I found that the weather stripping at the top of my new windshield had come loose. All the way across. I was afraid it would fall out.
I called the repair people. They sent someone immediately to repair it. They did say it was just a cosmetic issue and that I was never in danger of losing the windshield. It is good to have it fixed, though.
I got gas in the car, then we came home. Bob eventually came in the house. He is resting in his chair.

That would be so scary! Glad Bob was able to get in the house. My mom gets very tired. She says she can get tired walking into the kitchen]. I have tried to talk to her about getting her food delivered and so forth, but I think she likes getting out of the house. However, she probably will come to the point that she will be unable to do so.

Thank goodness that the weather stripping at the top of my new windshield was repaired.

Having the weather stripping come loose from a window, newly installed or not, would have scared the pee out of me! I'm glad it's fixed again now.

I would have been worried about the windscreen falling in too.
