Jeanne Calment was a French woman who was born February 21, 1875, and died on August 4, 1997. She smoked cigarettes from age 21 until she was 117. She enjoyed regular amounts of port wine and 2 pounds of chocolate each week. Her life included a diet with olive oil, a low stress attitude and a good sense of humor. She was 122 when she died.

@celticeagle I’d not be very pleased if I knew I was going to be around till I would be 122. I heard a 100 yr old Australian interviewed once. The very patronising interviewer asked what the secret of her longevity was and she said “Sleep well, eat well and sh!t well”.

That is a very interesting fact!
This example shows that one can enjoy life without taking much stress.
At times, people fret too much about good health, about smoking/drinking but sometimes people can live longer even without following too much precautions.

I remember the late actress Betty White saying one reason she lived a long life was that she did not take setbacks too seriously ands she maintained her sense of humor.

If she lived in France all of her life she would have needed a good sense of humour
