I am sure @Deepizzaguy will appreciate the story from Washington State I did copy the paragraphs about it "TACOMA, Wash. (KING) – More than 50 cats were rescued from a sailboat found abandoned in Puget Sound. Police in Tacoma, Washington, don’t remember a call like this. Dozens of cats, with the total count exceeding 50, were found on a sailboat that was apparently anchored and abandoned." There is more to the story I am sure. A welfare check was called in about the boat. When people boarded it, they were able to rescue 30 cats right away. They could still hear other cats below decks and hidden that did not want to be found. Joggers saw a cat that had somehow gotten in the water, and one of them swam to it's rescue. The cat was taken to a vet for treatment. This appeared in our local news feed, even though we are in Kansas. I am going to look for more information later. If this link works there is a picture: Why would anyone do something so cruel. One commenter even said some of the cats had collars. A lot of them look related.
