I'm giving a big thumbs up this morning to the internet (Google).
My son and daughter in law left for their vacation this morning and I was able to see that their flight left early and arrived at their destination a wee bit early too. Knowing that they are safely on the ground makes my day worry free. Well basically worry free as I tend to worry about all sorts of things.
Our Tuesday night girls night is being switched to tomorrow night. Today is my grandsons last day home before going back to college tomorrow so my daughter wants to be home for his last night. I don't blame her and I know he said he would pop over sometime today to say good-bye. Hard to believe that it's his last year in college. Time just seems to be flying by fast enough to give me whiplash.
I don't have much to do today. Another hot day here with the sun peeking in and out. Possible for some rain but doesn't look like any severe storms in the forecast.
I'm looking forward to the cooler weather so I can enjoy some outside time having my early morning coffee and/or reading in the afternoons.
Meanwhile I still have to figure out what to have for dinner. I'm not really in the mood for anything so that makes deciding harder. Maybe my daughter will have a good idea when she takes her lunch break. I know what she'll say when I ask what she wants for dinner. She'll say dinner? I'm just having my lunch

We're watching movies on t.v. today because George is under the weather, even if he'd like to convince me otherwise. I got his feaver down and haven't given him pepsi today. Part of me wants to give in, but I know he needs the water more.

It is so nice that they got away, and arrived safely.
It is always a concern when they are in flight.
And his final year, that is exciting, I just spoke with a neighbour who's daughter is starting college in a couple of weeks. She is currently working at a private specialty grocer who offers delicious home baking and a very uniquie line of clothing, and she loves working there and doesn't want to go to school. Her parents told her to get her degree now and she can remain where she is if she needs to but she could be promoted to a better paying position. either way she is learning as she goes.
When I don't know what to make for supper, and that was my morning question to the girls, Harper was quick to suggest burgers. They always have the leftovers the following day, and she just loves my burgers.
Both girls had alot of questions about Ellie, and that they don't' know how long she will be around for-something they have heard I suspect. Her health is poor, and her days may be numbered. But that isn't for a child to worry or question. Grandpa and I did our best to ask the girls to remember the fun times that they have shared with her over their short little lives.

It's hard to come up with a meal sometimes. I was so pleased when Vince took over the cooking. Lately, it's been more 50-50 but that's okay too.
