If Questions

I was given (I think) a book many years ago called If.. (Questions for the Game of Life). It has all kinds of questions so I decided to do some posts of the questions. Plus it kinda goes good with the book I am reading which I am almost through with. I will post about that book later.
Here's the first question: If you could go to a known planet, what planet would you like to go to?
My answer is Venus.

I’ve given a rather detailed description of why we should stay put, Judy.
The grass isn’t always greener. In fact I don’t think there is any grass on Venus

I would go to Mars, only one with a chance of survival.

Venus is no good as you’d frazzle in seconds. It’s the hottest planet in our solar system, so bad choice. 
Even if you could survive the heat, the fact that a Venus day is about 243 earth days long, and longer than its year (225 days), would make it hell on Earth. Sorry… hell on Venus. Plus it rotates the opposite way to Earth, which would be very confusing. Ergo, Venus is out. As are all the rest of the planets in our solar system, bar possibly Mars, which NASA are planning to visit and set up some sort of campsite. Long trip though, so you may need extended leave from work.
So really It would have to be an “earth-like” planet to have a chance of surviving. The current best match is LHS 1140b, which is only 48 light-years away, but is confirmed to have an atmosphere that might sustain life. If you’d like to join me then we just need to organise the transport.
Actually, forget the transport. Let’s just stay here on Earth and struggle on. My wasn’t it windy today?
