It's Taco Tuesday Time!

After I got back from my errands I did not feel like cooking and suggested that we run back to town to Las Maria's for Taco Tuesday. My hubby was all for that and we took off as soon as he changed clothes. The tacos were good tonight. I only ordered three and the hubby only ordered 5, which is unusual for him. We enjoyed the tacos and chips and dip, which are served complimentary there. They put a little seasoning on their chips with a faint taste of chili pepper. It goes will with the fresh salsa which has a little pepper bang to it already. It is just the right amount and not super hot. It's also a great natural sinus medicine for opening up your sinuses and very tasty to boot. That's what we had for dinner tonight. Did you do a Taco Tuesday also? If not, what did you have for dinner tonight? Photo Credit: My own, Street Tacos

They are what they call "street tacos" here and small, but they are filled up with meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato. I add salsa to the top for a little more spice!

We do not have Taco Bell here in Italy. I am pretty sure that most Italian ignore what a taco is.

Taco Bell is not authentic Mexican food and a poor grade of meat there. I would not eat there right now after the crisis of all the people getting ill from the bad lettuce they were serving. I may never eat there again after that.

@kareng - Well the fact is that Mexican food is surely not an Italian favorite. We love Spanish food that is not at all the same as Mexican food.

@wolfgirl569 I was thinking of making chili last night, but thought I would wait until a little cooler. The real deciding factor was that we are out of cheese. I love chili topped with a bit of shredded cheese.

It’s always nice to get a little sinus opening food. I had sautéed mixed vegetables sprinkled with some Everything but the Bagel seasoning.

Well, no. George hasn't eaten any in a while. A lot of times I can't get him to get out of the van.

I had a cheese-stuffed baked potato and leftover chicken & rice soup for dinner. I went to the fair today, so I didn’t get my tacos from Chuy’s. I’ll fix that tomorrow!

That's like your biscuits! A biscuit to us is a fluffy round piece of bread! It's a common breakfast food with butter, jelly/jam or even with added sausage patty, ham slice or bacon, cheese added to it inside.

We did! I think next time we will go back to the Mexican Restaurant in the next town over. Hubby liked it a lot too.
