So, The Mister and I have had a lovely weekend at the caravan and although I am now able to stay he has had to go home as he is at work tomorrow. I do miss him when he is away .... I have told him not to come next weekend if he is too tired .....it takes him over 6 hours to drive home, after working ....he arrives back shattered and I don't want him to do another couple of hours driving when really he needs to rest. Having said that, I know he will come if he can, and of course, I'm secretly hoping he will. Oh the caravan is so quiet without him !

I’m so sorry it strains him so much. That is such a monumental drive, bless his heart.

@AmbiePam. It is a long drive and there are several hold ups on the motorway.... unfortunately usually due to accidents.

Maybe it will storm on Friday and he can come home early. You can always hope for that, too.

I would love him to be home early , but I can do without the storm. Unfortunately, he has a drive of at least six and a half hours to get home before he comes to me at the caravan ...

@Traceyjayne If his driving that far bothers you, tell him to rent a room there and stay until his job is closer to home.

Yeah, that's true...but the fonder we get the harder it is for him to go away every week.

He does need his rest. Is this going to go much longer?

It's nice that he wants to go the extra miles to get to the caravan - and you.
