A Drive By Shooting This Morning...

I woke up at 6:25a. this morning and happened to look at my local news feed. Up on the bench(several miles away from our Northend home) there had been a fatal drive by shooting of a woman just before 6a.. She had been out on the porch of what turned out to be a vacation home. Lots of people inside. The house was cleared and the police are investigating.
Was it personal or a random shooting? This really scared me because my daughter likes to set out on our porch, sometimes for hours.
Scary to wake up to.

Scary indeed. I have a “front bedroom” that I use for storage and sleep in the back bedroom (away from the street). We don’t have any problems in the neighborhood from the residents (so many of us have lived here for decades), but I’m not worried about the neighbors, I’m worried about the thugs who might come through.

That is scary indeed. You can't do much to avoid such incidents except stay inside all the time.

I know what you mean since the U S Navy had their air show in Lake Charles a few days ago and the roar of the jets flying over the neighborhood was scary.
