Trying to get into an AI/teaching program / myLot

No not for like a degree or anything but they are offering over $2000 for something like 12 hours of online training. As those of you who read my crap regularly know I can be "a woman of loose morals" when it comes to making extra cash. I rarely turn anything work-related down. I honestly know nothing about AI aside from what I've learned from the first 2 Terminator movies. I have a coworker who swears by doing lesson plans via AI. I was like "you put too much effort into that garbage--they don't even know what they are reading". AI scares me but I'm also open to learning how to maybe incorporate it into my lessons. . . especially for a couple of thou. Hahaha and everyone things I am close-minded. Anyway tonight is a Zoom meeting detailing expectations. I don't know if there even is a selection process or if those who signed up got in. Who knows?

I still haven’t sorted out AI completely. When something is hard to differentiate between what’s real and what’s not, I find myself really frustrated. I must admit I would give it a try for that kind of money!

I have a strong prejudice against AI. But if something possitive comes of it (such as $2000), I´d fake interest.

I’ve never used anything beyond Siri, but I distrust AI in a way only the uninitiated can. For $2,000 I’d be willing to learn.

You’re too old. Leave it to the kids. Or rather…take the money and then leave it to the kids. I’ve played around a little bit with AI, and it blows my mind. We are just in the infancy of something amazing. I watched a report on brain surgery done with the help of AI. It was remarkable.

That’s interesting, and if you can afford it, I think it’s practical to learn about it and use it to your advantage. AI is here to stay, and its development is growing rapidly over time. Since you’re in the academe, you could take advantage of it by learning more and integrating it into your teaching methods, which could prove useful for you.

I do not mind that so much, its just the fact what data centers cost the planet to run. Resources water and electricity and then then the toll it is on the rest of us. Earn your 2000 but it costs 4000 for that to happen.

Wishing you all the best for an opportunity. I know I use a free AI tool that takes what I write per paragraph and paraphrases it, and it helps me see where my writing was a bit clumsy and also helps me learn how to write better,

I think before joining the class you can make some searching online or asking friend who know well to give you some advice
