It always helps when you get to babysit a kid that is absolutely adorable right. This little girl is such a doll. (I’ll refer to her as baby S although she is getting close to 1 1/2 years old) What a way to improve my mood after missing my little one so much while she’s at school. I had a headache last night from only drinking one coffee yesterday. So I didn’t get much sleep. I had my alarm set for 5:15 but my husbands went off at 5 so I just decided to get up rather then have to hear an alarm go off again. That sound drives me nuts. My husband was always really nasty about having the share the kitchen in the mornings but he and I maneuvered around each other well. I had told him when I was asked to babysit how early I would be up and that he would have to deal with me being in the way since I’ll have to deal with the same thing of him being in my way. I woke my little one up at 6:30 to have more time to get her ready before the bus and to give her time to play with the baby S. They had fun before school. This little one is so calm and sweet and happy. I am very lucky. Her mother made me a list of her routine and what to feed her when etc which was very helpful. I could tell around 9 she was getting tired and by 10 she has fallen asleep. I asked her if she wanted to sleep and laid her in the pack and play. She just rolled around and tapped her arms on her legs and stood up a few times and laid back down and then fell asleep. I wasn’t sure how easy it would be if I’d have to hold her or rock her etc but that was easy. She will be here twice a week from 6-3:45. I expect I’ll be quite tired tonight as well as my little one so hopefully we can get to bed earlier.

I cannot believe that your little one is already at school. I still remember when you were pregnant with her. I am glad that you can babysit baby S, your time will pass more quickly while you wait that your little one comes back from school.

@LadyDuck I have been having a hard time. Not crying daily but a sense of deep sadness when she is away from me at school. This helps keep me busy in a way that makes my heart feel better today. Getting groceries, cooking, cleaning and even going geocaching wasn’t filling that void so this is great.

@shaggin - I know, when we miss to have around the person we love, nothing seems to be interesting anymore.

That husband of yours! I hope one of these days you kick him to the curb. Glad you are liking your time with the new baby, and bringing in a few bucks will be nice as well!

@snowy22315 he’s been much better since he quit drinking. I only wish it had been sooner as I have such bad memories. It will be nice to help pay for things instead of alyis just using his money.

Baby S sounds like such a sweetheart, glad she made those nap times easy on you. Hope you and your little one crash early tonight, sounds like a long day.

@Wrexxo I’ve been getting up at 6:45 since my little one started school about a week and a half ago. 5 is much earlier. It’ll likely give me another headache. Usually less sleep causes that for me.
