Apparently, I have to wear makeup to this doctor.

I knew I was going to have to wear makeup to see my primary care. Last time I was there she was convinced I was sick, and it was frustrating. She’s done it one other time when I don’t wear makeup. IF I wear makeup, it’s a 10 second dab of foundation and lip gloss. The thing is, all my life I look like I have pink cheeks, or I’m very pale. I also get the butterfly rash. Those of you familiar with lupus, know the butterfly rash is a symptom, but I do not have lupus (I’ve tested positive several times, but further tests always disprove it.). To keep her from bugging me, I’ve begun to always wear makeup when I see her. And just like I thought, she said I looked like my inflammation was down because my butterfly rash was gone. Good grief.

Better to spend a little time to wear make up than to spent a lot of time hearing her saying that you look sick.

I thought you had to look drawn to look sick. Apparently, you have to have pink cheeks (but no fever).

@AmbiePam It's a weird way of thinking, but some people believe that pink cheeks are a sign of good health.

I discussed it with her last time she did it, but she didn’t listen. Perhaps her nurse would convince her otherwise.

I have to do the same thing. If I don't put on a brush of blush the doctor thinks I'm dying...I have very white skin, I always have. So I always make sure I have it on so the doc doesn't want to run tests, etc. I have never had butterfly rash or anything...I'm just very pale.

I had the butterfly rash for about 5-10 years. Got tested by the rheumatologist and everything. Wasn't Lupus. They said Rosacea. It eventually went away. Not sure why. But glad.

I don’t have enough redness to be rosacea, nor is it intense enough, but it does tend to pop up now and then. Especially in the heat! That’s great that it just went away.

These doctors always try to find something wrong with you, because all they are concerned about is getting paid. You might want to get a new doctor if she doesn't listen to you.

I would be mad if I had to wear makeup to the doctor. That’s the last place I want to wear makeup to. Lol. I hate makeup though. I think you’ve seen me in makeup just as many times as Chris has. Lol
