Now, I want to learn Chinese

It's 10:46 pm..25°C here..glad it's weekend already...Had a quiet day with my mum. Grateful she's doing well. I got back home about an hour ago..and I'm trying to hit my bed..even though online gigs have been kinda slow, I believe better days are coming. While scrolling Facebook tonight, I "Saw a Ghanaian vlogger who's been living in China for about 5 years. What really got me was how fluently he speaks Chinese. Watching him interact with locals was fascinating. They seemed genuinely surprised to see a black man speaking their language so effortlessly. It reminded me that language is more than just words. It builds trust, opens doors, and helps you understand people and culture on a deeper level. By the time I finished watching, I found myself wishing I could learn Chinese too. You never know how a new language might change the way you connect with the world."

It would be neat, but it strikes me it would be a very hard language to learn. Some people simply have a knack or an ear for languages though

I would never try to learn languages like Chinese or even Russian because it makes it so much more difficult when you cannot read the language or understand the letters as well.

Chinese is one of the hardest languages to learn. Pretty played with DuoLingo and learned how to ask for the bathroom and things travelers would need in several languages.

It is never late to learn anything. But think clearly first as I think Chinese is a difficult language to learn

It sure sounds difficult to learn, but anything worthwhile usually is difficult.

China has many symbols compared to other countries; it seems difficult to learn.

Fluent in 5 years? Not sure if I can do it. Maybe if I were younger.

Learning another language can be fun and, as you say, there are many benefits from being able to speak someone else's language.
