I'm not paying $25 to wear jeans to work on Fridays

Yeah--that's not happening. There is no official dress code. It used to an unspoken to never wear blue jeans/denim/etc but that was like out the window well over a decade ago. . . at least in our building. We are infamous for being the rebellious staff that will buck the system. 
For a year or two they wanted us to pay $2 per event and they would put these tiny little pin-on ribbons on to wear that you were an a-hole if you hadn't paid up. Guess who didn't pay up?

So the front office just kind of lost their attempted enforcement of a non-existent policy over time--. Not only do I not wear on Fridays--I will wear them on any day that I want. Y

I love the rebellion but what are you rebelling against the kids. Pin on ribbons, dress code I would rebel against As long as you know and they know and no one hurting kids I am all for it.

The teachers rebelling mention was more about how we stick together to do job actions that we show the BOE that we are united. It isn't ever anything that Like we wear jeans and custom-made t-shirts with the school's mascot on them. How can they complain about something like that?

It takes a mix of those wearing as well as not wearing the items that they list in order for it to work.
I always wore them once a week, but never paid for it, I knew how to keep under their radar, now that we only go in once a month I prefer to choose what days I will wear jeans depending on what upper management people will be on site. I also try to switch it up by wearing dress clothes on occasion.
They always claim that our 'donation' is going towards charity-in my guess it was always a paid lunch charity for middle management.

Walmart asked us to pay $5 to wear jeans and a tee shirt once a year. We paid for our uniform clothes and I always made sure mine were comfortable. I never paid and just wore my regular uniform to work.
