He's doing great alone...

I am missing my son.
He is making me proud though that this time he could just be alone, prepare his own breakfast without calling his "Manang" (nanny) to do everything for him.
He sent me a photo of this burnt bacon and egg sandwich. He said it was his breakfast. When I told him it was burnt, he said that's the way he liked it anyway.
I think I might pay him a visit one of these days.

I guess as our sons grow up, we notice they develop their own ways, become independent, know what they want, and do things on their own. I commend him for being able to handle life by himself, which is ideal since there will come a time when we’ll all need to live separately.

OH I never wished for us to live separately. Sometimes I'd tease him if he'd let me live in his house someday when he's already married. My son, sweet as he is, would always respond with an "of course!"

@toniganzon Ahaha thats fine but men do have this instinct to live separate from their own families and wanted to start on their own. But if that’s amenable to him then that’s great if he does accommodate you in your old age with his family

@rsa101 He's an only child and well if he cares for me much, he would want me to be next to him. Especially when I'm old and frail.
