Are you a yellow sticker person ?

For those who don't know ....yellow stickers are put on food in supermarkets that are just about to go out of date. They have the cheaper price on them.
Some folk never would bring themselves to even look at yellow sticker products.
Some folk may have a look if they were in the supermarket doing their shopping anyway.
Some folk look every time they do their shopping.
Some folk go to the supermarket at certain times so that they can take advantage of the offers
I think you have to be sensible about it.
Only buy things you buy anyway, or a treat that you will eat that day .
Buy things that you know you will eat , if you are buying for the freezer.
For me .....I admit that I have had some bargains from yellow stickers. I will sometimes take a look but haven't had anything for a few years now.

I used to buy food with yellow stickers on, but these days they hardly knock anything off the normal price, so I don’t bother. I’d rather buy in date food and let it go bad at home.

I do not buy no matter what with a yellow sticker, but I have a look at the products. Some things are still very good on the expiry date. I prefer not to buy meat, but I buy yogurt, cheese, fruits and vegetables. I can always make a soup of prepare a jam with the fruits.

Not anymore because I order my groceries online, and the person doing the shopping isn’t going to bring a yellow sticker item to a buyer without their permission, and there is no way for a buyer to request that. Now, you can buy a day old rotisserie chicken online for half price, and I did that once, but that’s the only option for a yellow sticker you have online with my grocery store.

Yes, it isn't really possible when ordering online.
Whilst you may miss out on bargains , it does stop you from spending more than you wanted to buy adding food which wasn't on your list.

i used to time my shop just right to grab the yellow stickers before work, got some great meat reduced that way. now i just glance if im there anyway, not gonna plan my whole day around it lol. best bargain was a whole chicken for like 10,000 naira
, froze it same day

Hubby's elderly aunt shops the "clearance section" of the local supermarket. (our equivalent of yellow stickers)
