. Mary Jane kitten visited with me some this afternoon while I was in my No Football Room. It wasn't bad until she remembered that kittens are supposed to bite and smack at moving fingers. I also introduced her closer to Duke doberman this afternoon. At first she hissed and spit when he touched her. But then she settled down. He kept giving her time between touches to learn she wasn't getting hurt.
It was hot for part of the day. Then a storm passed just north of us and we had a wonderfully cool breeze. I already had the windows open so enjoyed it.

We don't open windows. Too much pollen comes in and I have sneezing fits and then break out in hives. Pretty might have allergic reactions, too, if the windows are open. She doesn't have as much trouble with pollen as I do but she's not my age, either.

I did my best to enjoy my day today putting out the trash can on the sidewalk where the city sanitation will be able to pick up the trash tomorrow afternoon.
