Something Gross Happened to Me and I’m Freaking Out

Friday I had a massage.
At some point while I was lying face up, the therapist said something and she sprayed spittle and a drop landed on my lip. Ewww I couldn’t jump up and put hand sanitizer or something on it so I just wiped it off.
Saturday I got a sore on my lip where her spit landed. Double ewwwww
It’s freaking me out wondering what kind of virus she might have contaminated me with
I might pop in to the clinic tomorrow and have them take a look at it.
I did report it to the massage place Friday when I left.

@looeyville That’s beyond gross. I’ve been spat upon, bled upon and vomited upon when I worked in the ER but never on my face. Now don’t you go kissing your husband with that mouth for a while.

Oh no, I can understand why that would really freak you out, especially with the sore appearing in the same spot the next day. I would have been completely grossed out too. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing serious, but going to the clinic and having someone look at it sounds sensible if it is worrying you. At least you reported what happened to the massage place straight away. I hope the sore clears up quickly and gives you some peace of mind.

Um, she had to have known she did that. Not acceptable. I would have reported it, too.
