Two Shots.

I got two shots of vaccine today for free. One, flu vaccine. The next one is pneumonia vaccine. I got them for free at the health center. All because I am fifty. Flu vaccine are for ages 5 and up. While the pneumonia vaccine are for those 50 and up. The other family members will be next.

In the UK, children up to the age of 17, and those with health conditions are offered the flu vaccine. Then you don’t get it for free again until you’re 65 and older, unless you have health conditions. You can pay for it privately. The pneumonia vaccine is given to people over 65 as a one off. As I’m over 65, I get the flu vaccine every year, in fact it’s due next month, and I’ve had the pneumonia vaccine already. The Covid vaccine is only offered to over 75’s now (plus those with health conditions), and I’ve not reached that age yet, but hoping to!

@rakski Yeah, you said this in your discussion already. Have you forgotten to take your dementia pill again? The cost of the flu jab here, if you go private, is about £15 to £20, depending where you go. Not too expensive, especially if it prevents you getting a nasty dose of the flu.

The pneumonia vaccine here is offered free at certain health centers for those 50 and up the flu vaccine is free for ages 5 and up which is really good. I only discovered this now and getting the flu vaccine from private doctors costs a lot

Here only those over 65 get free shots and children under the age of 16.

I was happy to get free shots yesterday. I thought that only 60 and above are the ones who can get it for free

I haven’t gotten a vaccine in awhile, but I do plan on getting the shingles vaccine when I’m old enough. Shingles are a terrible disease that we can absolutely prevent.

that is true. There was a time when they offered free shingles shot but I am not yet eligible for that and it is expensive from a private doctor. Our health insurance does not cover vaccines

I didn't have any vaccine after covid. That was the time when taking two shots of vaccine was necessary.

I hate shots, I have never done any flu or pneumonia shots I've never had a reason to get them & I never got the C- 19 either when it was demanded, I don't hang around with any1 I don't have any 1 coming to my place so I'm good on shots.
