Wedding Part II

OK, mydiscussion disappeared which have half through so I will have to write an abbreviated version. Part II was the actual wedding day. We had the morning to ourselves. I did not do too much as I was still tired and kind of sore from the day before. I did manage to go swimming, in the tile lined mosaic pool the hotel had which apparently Al Capone had swam in. I also walked across Michigan Ave. to a mall which was busy being Saturday, and looked around. Finally, at about 2:45 it was time to take the shuttle to the church. Sis had son and I sitting up front with her and bro in law. We both struggled not to cry through the service. Anyway, forgot to say, church was amazing and beautiful which very ornate stained glass windows. Lots of photos were taken. Afterwards we got back on the shuttle. The ride back up to the hotel took a lot longer with more traffic out. Shortly after we got back it was time for the cocktail party..which was gratis! Yay! I was stuck with Ms. Talks alot again, but managed to escape at some point, and sat with relatives of brother in law..people I know slightly. We had a nice chat..then on to the reception. The food was really good, I could not eat a lot though..since I am taking a GLP, I got filled up fast. It was all very professional. The lamb chops seem to be impossible to cut though. I should have asked for a serrated knife. I ended up giving a large chop to son. Anyway, there were touching speeches, dancing etc. I wasn't there for a lot of that though..as my body was rebelling against the hard chairs..and son also was tired and went to the room to sleep. It was really a good time though. I think the costs of this extravagant event were split between the couple, and all the parents. Anyway, I doubt I will ever be at anything this posh again..and posh It was. Sis and bro in law live in a modest house and are Walmart shoppers. This must have seemed like another world to them too. It was a good time though I have to admit. Wedding part III will be later.
