I know it's been a long while since I was here. Lots happening. A week ago I went to the 50+ Retreat. It was three days of wonderful ministry, food, fellowship, and reconnecting with people I haven't seen in a year. The picture above is the cabin I stayed in. Outside of getting ready for that event, I've been working on my books. I'm getting two ready to publish. Expect those to be ready next year. I have no less than 8 books I'm working on right now. Not all at once, but as the book I need to work on opens to me. I'm winding down on Patriot Dreams. I plan to have it finished by the end of the year. Ecstasy is the book that has my attention for editing and getting ready to publish, along with Firestorm. Next week Green Bay is having a book and author fair called Untitled Town. It's back after a long absence. It started out as an annual event before COVID shut it down. I'll be taking as many books with me to try to sell. Fall is just a few days away now, and that makes me very happy. The temperatures are cooler, and soon the rain I'm hearing right now will change to snowflakes. One of the people at Rock Painting yesterday said there are 12 Fridays until Christmas. The year is winding down. I hope you are all doing well. I'm sorry for the long drought. I hope to be here more often, but my life is writing. I will be here when I can. What have you been up to? How was your summer? Did you go anywhere? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. The cabin where I spent three days last week.

Do your books cost you a lot to publish? I saw where Green Bay plays New York or did. Videos on the television. I don't keep up. I hope you sell a lot of books. I have really been enjoying the cooler temps. I have been doing a lot of research and writing posts like I usually do. The kids and I watch some movies together. Not a lot but I like it that way. My busy days are done. The cabin looks like a clubhouse. I hope you enjoyed yourself.

I learned something about publishing yesterday that I didn't know. I'm going to publish both with KDP and now IngramSpark. The cost for IngramSpark is $49 per book to upload. Instead of doing the free ISBN through KDP I'm going to buy the ISBN. With IngramSpark I'll have my books on store shelves. They won't be limited to Amazon anymore. We play the Jets on Sunday. Research is important for any kind of book writing. It could be a clubhouse. It has four dorm rooms per cabin with a central community area. Yes, I really did enjoy myself a LOT. I'm looking forward to next year.

Yes, Christmas is getting closer every day. It's good to join a library.

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your retreat. It’s important to be renewed in the Spirit. You know, 12 Fridays until Christmas doesn’t sound like long at all. It’s still 100 F here, Valerie, and some days I feel like the heat will never end. However, I think we might get rain this weekend, and with this drought, we need it. In less than a month, my family will leave on a cruise to Canada. You may remember, and considering it is a year ago you may not, our flights got canceled last year so we couldn’t go. Luckily, we had insurance, and we could put it off until next month. My roommate will be my 15 year old niece, and I can’t wait. Meanwhile, my dad is one Sunday closer to retiring. He retires the last Sunday of December.

Does a minister truly retire? Congratulations to him. Have fun on the cruise. I'm sorry it's so hot there still. We're finally cooling off here. I hope you get the rain you desperately need.

Glad you had a wonderful time, and happy you got out and did something other than writing. It is important to have balance in your life, and I know how much you enjoy the spiritual side of things. The book fair sounds great..and hopefully you will be able to sell there.

That retreat sounds so refreshing, glad you got that time with people again. Good luck with Ecstasy and Firestorm, sounds like you got a lot cooking there. Hope Untitled Town brings you good sales, that's exciting it's back.
