Interesting Day

Took Tom to the Eye doctor. They did more tests, but the Specialist wasn't even there. So mostly a waste of time and VA money. BUT...they DID get him an appointment with an eye surgeon HERE! They TRIED to get him into a place in Dorthan OR Mobile, AL. He told them NO he could not do that, so they finally gave in and set him up with one right HERE! Just weird the way they went about it. We were there almost 2 hours. Today was my 2nd day without Prednisone. I about fell asleep in the doctor's office waiting on Tom. Came home and was not hungry. Still not hungry. I DID eat some Pineapple chunks and walnuts. But the thought of food in general just did not appeal to me.

I'm glad they finally got Tom an appointment with an eye surgeon nearby, even though it took almost two hours and seems like they made things more complicated than necessary. Hopefully the next appointment will be more useful. Take care of yourself too, especially while you're adjusting to being off Prednisone. I hope your appetite and energy come back soon.

I sure miss my Prednisone. I am back to where I was BEFORE the Prednisone.

Glad Tom finally got that appointment set up close to home, that's one less headache. Hope you start feeling more like eating soon, coming off that medicine can really mess with you. Take care of yourself too, not just Tom.

Two hours sounds like a long wait, especially when the specialist wasn't even there! At least something good came from it and Tom now has an appointment with a local eye surgeon. Hopefully that saves you both a lot of travelling. I hope you're feeling better today too and your appetite returns soon.

Sometimes it seems that these specialists go out of their way to make things difficult.
