Just going to collect sloes

So we are going home later today ....booooo...but first The Mister is coming to help me to pick sloes. They are growing wild around the edge of the caravan park.
Some may remember that I make sloe gin .
It's really easy to make and so delicious.
If I start now it might be ready for Christmas.
I try to leave it as long as possible
Anyway , I will let you know later how successful we are

@traceyjayne i’ve already been for a walk along the shore. The sun is shining. When I got back home from my bimble we got into the car and drove back down to the shore via the garage where we bought coffee and my wife brought cake with her and we sat in the sunshine watching oyster catchers racing back and forward across the sand.

@Traceyjayne it was lovely but a man came and parked beside us and left his engine running and it was loud and it kind of spoiled the atmosphere.

@AmbiePam ….i would dearly love to stay, but maybe in a few weeks I shall be going again. Next time we go I will gave to close it up for the Winter…..

@celticeagle …..so easy to make and so delicious…..just sloes, sugar and gin. Prick the fruits, mix everything together. Put in a demo John or large bottle ….Keep in a dark place for a couple of weeks, shaking it every day. Remove the fruits and leave as long as possible to Jake the sloe gin have. More intense flavour and strength.

@JudyEv sloes are a small blue fruit. You can’t eat them as they are but I prick them and add them to gin and sugar. Keep in a dark place and keep giving it a shake. After few weeks remove the sloes and leave your sloe gin to nature….as long as possible. It’s delicious.
