@ineeddentures I chop banana skins up and bury them in the flower beds. I have a strong dislike for bananas.

So you don't eat the skins
Have you ever tried eating them?
Why do you have a strong dislike for bananas ?
Do they cause you heartburn?

Really?
I had never ever heard of that before
So do you use the inside or the outside of the skin to rub with?

What a waste
I am surprised by this
You can cut little bits out and they help stop eyelid drooping

I have used the skin for compost
But it's better fried and eaten because it does taste very good

I usually put the peels in my compost along with eggshells and other kitchen scraps. I know you can eat banana peels too. I remember seeing them chopped up and made into something like a banana peel omelet, usually mixed with egg and seasonings before frying. There are also recipes where the peels are sauteed or made into fritters. Many times I’ve told myself I’d try it, but I still haven’t gotten around to it. Maybe I'd take your post as a sign to cook it next time.

@Ineeddentures no banana will spike my sugar and insulin, and if those spike I won't lose anything lol. Maybe in a non diabetic person that might work

Bananas are great for weight loss
One banana and a glass of water will see you lose about 1/4lb so do it every day and you will lose 12lbs a month
