Today, autumn.

The blue skies of autumn can be painful to look at. The clarity and sharpness are more accentuated than in summer with its haze, and there’s a starkness as you look up through branches that have already lost many of their leaves.
The sun hangs low above the horizon and leaves most people squinting. The road outside my house is littered with fallen acorns, attracting squirrels and prompting memories of the walk to primary school along an avenue lined with oak and sycamore trees.
The air is cold on my face. I feel restless as I hear the rare sound of an airplane overhead, and I wonder a bit about where it’s headed: probably somewhere mundane like London rather than Buenos Aires or Athens.
A day full of light, life and decay, but I’ll refrain from speaking of it as refulgent. People don’t seem to warm to that word.

@ambiepam Athens is a charm. Of course once you’ve seen one statue with no arms you’ve seen them all, so you get over all the antiquity fairly quickly and get down to the business of eating rather promptly. When I’m in Athens I like to wander slowly, take Greek coffee slowly and do everything slowly while the city churns around me. Oh dear, now you’ve got me rambling on. Lovely atmospheric cafes to sit in when it rains down in Piraeus in winter among the boats coming and going.

We have a guy here on our town who is a bit of a nut job
When he sees a plane overhead,
He does like a prayer, asking for it to crash.
He is nuts
Not much to do with your post.
But there you go
Sorry
