That was a good trip

The photo should show the Hovander barn. And some of the grounds. The Hovanders were a dairy family. They left the farm to the county so that it could be turned into a very sweet park and a reminder of what the county used to be. My train trip north was interesting. And long. The train folks announced that yes, we had left the station. And yes we would go assist a disabled train and then return to the station to let passengers off- that made the trip trip about two hours longer than usual. My Tuesday with my niece was totally sweet. Volunteers at Hovander park had about a half acre of gorgeous dahlia flowers for us to ooh and ahhh over. I must have walked about a half a mile before I reached the trail that originally was my goal. So I walked half of that before we headed back to niece's van. I sure am glad I brought the rollator. We also ate burgers at a drive in. It was fun listening to the oldies music and having a car hop deliver the food. We snooped in two boutique thrift stores. I snagged plenty of island vistas and tons of farmland views. I've missed seeing those fir treed hills and mountains. I bought an old timey cast iron toy- two horses pulling a fireman and his water tank. I love those old toys.
