Housing is So Weird

For those who don't know my daughter, grandson and I live in Section 8 Housing. Usually we see maintenance out and about doing stuff constantly. I counted about 30 notications we got from August 2025 until February 2026 regarding up coming pest spray people coming. It got SO old. It seemed like they were doing either inspection repairs or pest control.
Then nothing. We haven't seen a maintenance man around here for many months. The housing rep sent a letter in either late June or early July regarding recertification but that is all. It is just so weird after them being around constantly. And, we still have 2 or three things that need done that they are well aware of and have done nothing on for months. And, I still can rarely get an answer back to phone calls or emails.
So, if they do things annually about the same time like they used to we shouldn't have them bugging us until February.
Do you have noisy or obnoxious rental people or do you own your home?

I live in a two story rickety white house that my friend's family rents. I creeks and groans but it is home, Her sons take care of all the neccessary stuff like getting in touch with the owner,

We live in a situation like that, so I can relate to what you are talking about. Though we didn't get many notifications about that kind of stuff. But them getting work done can take a long time, or lots of reminders that they need to do it. I am sure ours will be bugging us soon for an inspection, seems to be one in spring and one in the fall.

You have two done? Ugh! I am glad we only have the one a year. I hate having them butting into our lives but it does keep my daughter and grandson keeping things up better. They are rather messy.

@celticeagle well sometimes more, sometimes less. This year they did a couple around the same time because they had like the ppl in charge come to make sure things were a certain way.
Them butting in us a pain for sure.
But that's good then. I get it, were all messy here lol
