So many people weigh themselves daily or weekly and are so proud to report that they lost a pound or even less. I just roll my eyes and think "no you just took a crap and there's that pound".
I've done weight loss challenges where the number on the scale mattered but I've learned over time that it really doesn't. I'm good with my body composition these days. Yes I do weigh myself somewhat regularly. My weight tends to fluctuate between 165 and 175 pounds.
I don't stress about it. As long as my clothes still fit then I'm okay. In fact everything is pretty much too big so I need to get on buying some new stuff. But am I going to worry about a 0.5 pound gain or loss? Hell to the no.

I only weigh myself once a month, and it’s pretty constant. I’m always between 185 and 195 pounds. You are almost as heavy as me so I could challenge you to a wrestling match without guilt.

I don't weigh myself afraid to see that I am losing weight. Yes, I have a problem with losing weight and I'm happy every time I gain weight. But I don't street myself out.
I know when I am losing weight when my pants start to become loose.

Just now
Last time I got on the scale it said “ one at a time please ! “. Only joking.
I do weigh myself, sometimes and I am aware I could do with a few pounds getting rid of, but I think of how I feel and how my clothes fit is a healthier way of looking at things.

Back when I ''woke up'' and realized I had to dump the extra weight or croak, I got in the habit of weighing once a week. More often than that, I think can be discouraging when a person is actively trying to lose, so I try to remember every Sunday to weigh myself. I stay within 3-5 pounds, but usually it's very steady. I don't ever want to gain all of that back again, but I don't worry about it. And I wouldn't stress about a couple of pounds one way or the other, if I gain a couple the next week I lose a couple, so it works out.
