What are your allergy symptoms?

My usual allergy medication is back ordered from the place I normally get it, and I only get it at that place because it is incredibly cheap there. I’ve been without it for quite awhile, and I tell you, this is for the birds. My eyes are watery, my nose is pink, my skin itches, and my nose is semi-stuffed up. In other words, I’m feeling very sophisticated. 
I took a Benadryl the other day to at least stop the itching. I hate taking Benadryl though because it aids in dementia forming in people with a history of dementia already in their family (my mother had it). But one was necessary to my immediate well being. 
What are your allergy symptoms?

I get red, watery eyes, congestion, and sometimes itchy skin. I hate taking Benadryl because 2 of those tablets will knock me out for 3-4 hours. It definitely isn't something I could take at work. I was told once by a doctor that I shouldn't be taking it anyway because I have asthma which produces mucus in the airways. Benadryl dries it up and then you can't cough it out.

I didn’t know it could affect asthma like that. Do you still have a lot of trouble with asthma, or is it pretty much under control.
Benadryl doesn’t make me sleepy, but on the rare occasion years ago I’d go to the ER if I had a migraine that lasted at least four days. They’d load me down with Benadryl telling me they wanted me to sleep it off. First, I have never slept off a migraine in my life. Second, Benadryl doesn’t make me sleepy. However, it will make me walk like an inebriated person. I had the hardest time getting up my stairs on the occasion I’d go and they’d do that.

@AmbiePam My asthma used to be much worse. It is pretty well-controlled now. I rarely have to use my rescue inhaler. I can't remember the last time I had to be on Prednisone or use my nebulizer. I do take generic Singulair each night but that's about as much thought as I put into it.

I don't have specific allergies..but occasionally something will make me sneeze or nose gets stuffy. Sneezing is the big thing though..often in multiples. I was doing a user test where I had to speak aloud and suddenly got a pronounced sneezing attack

The itchy irritable scratchy eyes, the scratching in my throat and all the watery other stuff.
Claritin 24 hours is amazing or the rapid melts. I HATE benadryl.

It's funny that way, I had many attacks during the year of sinusitis and tool all kinds of over the counter medications and sometimes had bad headaches, Since I arrived in Florida no more sinusitis,

Watery eyes, no lack of sneezes, especially in the mid day hours. I get itchy, too.
Ragweed pollen and the weeks-long farm activities of harvesting, create a lot of dust that just blows around and makes my head want to explode. I love it when the rains come and then it isn't dusty.

Until I start taking weekly allergy shots two years ago, I didn’t know that I had seasonal allergies. I knew that every time I came back into town from somewhere else, I would not feel very well. I would guess most of my allergy symptoms would be headaches.
