Why am I still here? / myLot

At this hour, I'm usually not here in mylot. I'm supposed to be at work and not at home. Sister is there to manage everything for the day. Two of our maids are absent and the only one left in the house is our very old maid, she's over 80 and of course, someone has to look out for her while she do some stuff. You may wonder why she's still with us. She insisted on working again because her family (nieces and grandchildren), don't even bother to give her food! So she'd rather be with us than with her own family. And she's really stubborn too because we told her not to do anything at all, but she said she could still cook!

She was our parents’ maid so she have been wiith us for over three decades.

Aww that's really sweet that you keep her with you. Her own family should be ashamed for not feeding her. Stubborn or not, she's lucky to have your house to go to.

Yeah she says the same thing. That’s why she still want to help out with the house work even if we told her not to anymore.

It's sad that her own family doesn't look after her, but it's lovely that she has your family around her. At over 80, I can understand why you'd rather she rested, but she obviously likes feeling useful and independent. She certainly sounds determined!
