It's 2:42pm...31 degrees Celsius right now, and the sun is blazing. I'm about to have lunch, and in about an hour and a half, I'll be heading out for my stepdad’s tribute service today. I was hoping to call someone around 11am or 12pm but I couldn’t, because the voltage dropped when electricity was restored this morning, so I wasn't able to charge my devices properly. For now, I'm preserving my battery for more important things and any online gig that pops up. Hopefully, I'll be able to call her later when I can charge my phone. I also spoke with a guy today about a possible job opportunity. There's a telecommunications mast close to my house, and I recently realized that there are people employed to oversee these sites. They're not security guards. Their job is basically to oversee the mast, control access to the site, make sure the equipment and generator are working properly, and if there's any issue, escalate it to the people in charge so the appropriate technicians can come and take a look. I told this guy that I’d be interested if they needed someone for that kind of role. He said he knows some people and he will speak with them, and if they need someone, he'll get back to me. So I've got his number, so I'll follow up and see how it goes. So now I'm just heading to have lunch and get ready for the tribute service. Let's see how the rest of the day goes.
