I had good intentions of starting out the month here yesterday, but good intentions are just that - good intentions. I'm here now.
It's been a roller coaster ride for the past week. Last weekend was the UntitledTown Book and Author event. It ran Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My friend and I planned to attend a couple of different events on Friday, but she wasn't feeling good, so we skipped Friday. Saturday, I sold books at one of two places for book sellers. I sold three books - Thread of Evidence, Scarred, and Faith to Believe. It was a good day. Sunday, a day I didn't expect to attend because I go to church on Sunday, proved to be a day when my friend and I attended a couple of different events and totally enjoyed them. So it was a good weekend.
In the meantime, I've also been working on my books to get them updated and ready for the real world, not only Amazon. I started work on Manifest Destiny, it's coming along well, or was until Microsoft decided to throw a temper tantrum. So while I wait for Microsoft to get it's act together on the Copilot thread for Manifest Destiny, I've started work on Scarred. It's also coming along well.
I went to IngramSpark and signed up for the site to get my books published there and got a quote from it for uploading a book - reasonable - even on my limited income. My goal is to purchase the 10-pack of ISBNs after the first of the year and start uploading the manuscripts I have ready at that time. Hopefully, I'll have the Colonial America series ready. Then I can look forward to seeing my books on store shelves across America and on library shelves too. This has always been a dream of mine, and now it will be a dream come true.
So, what else has been happening. Well, let me tell you. Remember, I told you I attended the 50+ Retreat last month? It went super well this year. Last year, I came home to a furnace that didn't work and waited a month to get it fixed. They got it fixed just before the cold season really started. Well, I went to the office a few days ago. The furnace did come on twice after I got home from the Retreat and I was able to get the chill out of the apartment. BUT, not anymore. I went to the office on Monday. They came to find out what the problem is and need to call the heating and cooling people again. In the meantime, the breaker is shut off for the furnace as the fan was on non-stop and blowing cold air. Right now, I have the heater on in back of me, because it got a bit chilly in here.
I went to Rock Painting on Wednesday. I'll be bringing that rock home next week. Now, you're caught up. Now, let me find out how you all have been doing while I was away working on books to keep the world reading.
Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. At the book fair.

That’s a lot of happenings! Congratulations on selling the books, and how exciting that they will be everywhere soon. I’d be pretty psyched too.
Things here have been good. My dad is just a few months from retirement, so even if I’m in pain, I drag myself to hear him preach. And in two weeks, me, my dad, stepmom, and sister and her family will leave for our Canadian cruise. I look forward to rooming with my 15 year old niece. Other than that, it’s just been me and Sadie hanging out and being buddies. Oh, and I went on a date. It was a nice change of pace.
