I Hope This Works

I’m about to head to a cupping/massage appointment. I haven’t been for months, and what with recent back problems, my back is in knots even with slathering on pain cream. I’m using money I made from surveys I had set aside for the cruise. I’d rather have a better back than souvenirs. So, hopefully, this will work.
Do any of you have back problems?

It is supposed to stimulate blood flow and thereby reduce the pain. It does feel good for about an hour afterwards (or it did for me).

Oh, yes. I have sponylolisthesis, which is as hard to deal with as it is to spell or say. My weapons of choice are Tylenol and lidocaine patches. I hope the massage and cupping help. Cupping felt pretty good for about an hour. But when you have chronic pain any relief is welcome.

Not really, although I was going to get an X-ray for a pinched nerve..but imy neck shoulders etc haven't bothered me since last week. It might just be poor posture or isteo arthritis though. I hope the cupping, massage helps.

I hope that it does work.
Will you bring a heating pad with you on the cruise to help with any pain that you may experience?
I have a bad back.
I fractured some vertebrae when I was a teenager, and have the stoop at the top of my back from the osteoporosis.
I find that dry heat provides me with the best treatment, when it throbs, and we usually just hop in the car and take a drive and I will turn my heated seat on, as it contours where all of the ouchies are.

From time to time as I get older. I know that I somehow physically wrench something. It takes longer and longer to recover.

I hate that you have such pain and have to search for answers. I hope that it helps you.
One of my friends tried the cupping thing several times for her back pain. She said it helped, but not for more than a day for her, so she didn't go back.

You should consider making a list of items that you actually really need that were tossed out, your family might like to replace an item or two for Christmas. I love lists that are practical.
When do you leave for the trip?
