Walked for hours just to find a Subway …… we were starving !

So whilst we were waiting for The Misters radio to be fixed we went in search of food. The man told us that there was a Subway just around the corner one way and a pub that did delicious food just round the corner in the other direction.
We chose the pub….we knew we would be able to sit down and eat and that there would be toilets …..
So, Off we trundled ….for miles and miles ….we googled it, we found it ….it was boarded up …closed !
So, Subway it was then ……by now we were quite a walk away from there and again it seemed to take us forever to get there.
We arrived, eventually ….
We ordered our food, can’t tell you what we had, we just kept pointing to things that looked nice.
Anyway we had a steady walk back to the car as we were eating our Subway.
The subway roll and all the fillings were delicious.

I don’t like our Subway. You leave smelling funny -no joke. My dad loves Subway, but when he eats at the local one he comes home to change, and washes his clothes. It’s not ALL Subways, just our local Subway. No one knows what the problem is, not even the employees.

@AmbiePam …..that doesn’t sound like a place I would go to very often ….not at all after the first time ….
That’s a shame though as I find their good is nice and tasty ….what we had today was anyway….i can’t remember the last time we went to a Subway ….probably three or more years . Granddaughter likes it as she can have salad ….she likes healthy eating.

Ha, that walk sounds like a proper adventure, and a closed pub is the worst when your feet are already tired. Pointing at whatever looks nice is honestly the best way to do Subway, it usually works out. I have it now and then, mostly when im in a hurry and nothing else is open.

There is a Subway here in our city and we have two $10 cards for there but Pretty doesn't like eating there so won't let me stop to get a sandwich from them.
If you walked for hours, you could have walked here.

This was tasty and not a rip off. Lady did foot long but did two halves differently so we could share. It saved us around £3.50 that way. We could see what went on it and it looked fresh.
