Your Family Revolves Around

Who (or whom?) does your family revolve around? In my family, it generally centered on my mom. Is it that way in most? Obviously, children need more care, but the household happiness revolved around Leanne (my mom). She never let us see her have a bad day. We could tell she was weary, but she never snapped at us. She and my dad were best friends and she treated him as such. Our happiness revolved around if she was happy, and I’m thankful even in the bad times, she always appeared to be.

I can definitely see you in your 16 year old mother! She was lovely.
Our family dynamic always revolved around Dad while he was alive. After he passed away, the family more or less went our separate ways.

@DaddyEvil He sounds like a lot of fun. It would be so great if somehow you could see him.

@AmbiePam You're welcome.
Honestly, no. Most of the people I was close to in my family are gone now. Sometimes I miss close friends when I haven't seen them in a long time. I told Pretty a few days ago that I miss Chris (a Mexican friend. He used to play cards and board games with me. We'd play games all night before he had to go to work the next morning.) I haven't seen him in three years.
Let me look... I might have a picture of him on this laptop.
Chris. Photo is mine.

Yes, but we’re not close to any of them. My awful terrible uncle drove his kids off, and although we’re FB friends, we don’t see each other. My great aunts are really stuffy, and we only saw them on Thanksgiving and Christmas just to please my grandmother. My great aunts were so unlike my grandma. Maybe because my grandma bore so much responsibility when they were growing up, and they were younger.
On my maternal grandfather’s side we’re genuinely friendly with a cousin and her husband, but they live a ways away.

Your mother was beautiful! And we know that you are, too.
Under normal times, I guess I would say that the family evolved around me. But since the circumstances have changed and my time is mostly spent with my son here due to his health, the kids have had to be the center rather than ol' Mom. But they are good people and excellent parents, I have no worries about them in that regard.

Same in my house honestly, it always came back to my mom. She had a way of keeping everyone calm even when she was tired, and we never really noticed how much she carried until we got older. Your mom sounds like a really special person, and that photo at 16 is so sweet.

In my family the center of my family is my mother too. As long as my existence i only Saw her several times gets angry and she is not very emotional.
After i get married the center of my little family is my wife. My kiddos always curios with their mom not me

Your mom was lovely, both inside and out.
My family had no focus, no cohesion. My parents were selfish in their own ways.
Lot of attention was focused on my brother

Yeah, I can see how your kids would end up the focus.
I’m so glad you have your mother.
