I haven't really cared about how good I look in photos because I really hated taking a photo of myself since I was a kid, except when I started using BlackBerry phones and when smart phone was released for the first time.
However, when the term "selfie" was invented and phones became more selfie-friendly, I quit doing it and hated taking photos of myself once again.
I still care about my physical appearance in a way that I want to look presentable. But I also care about my health though not that much to be too concerned of my diet.

@JohnRoberts We always see ourselves different than others do. I might have a different opinion. Beauty is subjective after all.

I am not the person that cares for my facial looks that much. But I am concerned about my health.

As we age, we become more concerned of that our health than our physical appearance. I guess you are at that stage then.

He's very smart. I'm pretty much at that stage. I will be 75 in November. I don't do selfies anymore unless I am begged to share one with someone. I'm not too concerned either way.

Same here, I never liked taking photos of myself either, and selfies made it feel even worse. Looking presentable is enough for me honestly, no need to stress over every picture. Your balance with health sounds pretty normal to me, most people dont think about their diet that much.
