It's 7:07 a.m. I just woke up about 10 minutes ago, and the weather is around 23 degrees Celsius this morning, with a high of 31 expected later and a low of 22. Today is the big day. We're getting ready to head to Lagos for my stepdad's burial. We're leaving around 10 a.m., and hopefully we'll arrive by 1 p.m., so we've got some time to settle in and rest before the ceremony at 4 p.m. I've responded to some messages, checked my MyLot notifications, and handled a few posts. That’s pretty much the update on my end. As for my friend that I mentioned a couple days ago, I still haven't heard back from her. I called, I texted, and even sent a voice note. Nothing in about 40 hours. We had a really good conversation on Sunday, so it's kind of surprising. But, I think I've tried enough. I believe even busy people can take a moment to reply. Silence can feel heavier than a simple "I'm busy". I’m stepping back now and letting that be. If she responds, fine. If she doesn't, I'll just move on. That's the update for now.
