Still no Turkey ! What’s going on …..

You may remember that last Thursday when Mom and I went shopping there was no Turkey for my Turkey baguette !
I had a ‘posh ‘ ham instead.
Yes. It was nice, yummy even ….but it wasn’t Turkey. That’s what I look forward to every week.
This week, with fingers, toes and eyes crossed, we went to the deli counter ….
NO TURKEY
oh. Heavens to Betsy !
I had to have ham again .
Is there a world shortage of Turkey that no one has told me about.
What would you have chosen to go on your baguette ….?

That does sound strange that there's still no turkey especially since it's been a week since you were there.
My first choice is always turkey and second would be ham with swiss cheese.

@traceyjayne I heard that in October turkeys have a sixth sense that tells them Christmas is coming and they go into hiding, refusing to give up the meat and who can blame them. Maybe this is what has happened.

@AmbiePam ….the girl at the counter said she had ordered it . She sent a chappie to look and he said it hadn’t come in yet ….we see this girl every week and she is really good , so I trust what she says ( some will just say they haven’t got something just so that they don’t have to go and check, but she is not like that at all , she is lovely )

@Traceyjayne That’s good that they are transparent. Makes it a little easier to be patient. Well, sort of. When a person wants their turkey, they want their turkey!

It’s like it’s my routine….shopping with Mom , Turkey baguette whilst I do sudoku, blueberry muffin ….home.
