Finally Caught Up to Us

So I’ve talked about the fact that there is no light in my breezeway. Not because they won’t change the light, but because the electrical is bad. So, going up and down the stairs is dangerous because sure, someone could be hiding waiting to kill you, or more likely you could fall (I did report this to the city inspector and nothing has been done although by law, they are required to have the breezeway clearly lit). Well, someone bit the dust. I heard a massive thump at the top of my stairs, and what sounded like bags of heavy potatoes went crashing into my door. My poor neighbor couldn’t use her her flashlight and carry her groceries cat the same time, and she bit it. She says she’s okay.
I told management they are a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Have you ever taken an unfortunate tumble?

You n eed to go to the clerk of courts or call them and report them to the renters association. Because they could be in so much trouble for the way they treat you guys. Speak up for whaat you need. There's so many things I wish we lived closer so we could come fix.

I hope your neighbor really is okay and that something doesn't flare up after a day or two. But, I hope she doesn't let it slide and does sue that place. Not having properly lit areas is ridiculous but you don't need me ranting and raving about how unsafe that place is.
Yes Ive taken many unfortunate tumbles in my life and now all these years later my old bones have arthritis.

@Marilynda1225 Yeah. They told me the pain medicine was designed to make it bearable, but not to expect it to take away all the pain.

@AmbiePam I just put solar lights down my ramp, on the banisters, just for fun. There are low cost remedies if you want to do it yourselves BUT the property management is liable and needs to fix it. You should not have to do it yourselves.

@GardenGerty That could be a good idea if they receive enough sunlight. But of course it isn't the residents' job.

I once slipped on some steps on some icy snow. Our landlord was right there. They started clearing snow after that.

@AmbiePam - I had been doing it myself but I could only do so much without a proper shovel.

Yes, from trying to do too much or move too fast. She needs to see a doctor, just in case something shows up later.
