He just doesn't have the same level of enthusiasm about squirrels as he used to. I mean he will watch them in the back if he hears or sees one, but I was trying to get him interested in one on the porch this morning, and he wouldn't even jump up to see it. I know he knew it was there. He finally went over to a couple of windows and looked out, but mostly the only thing he has been really wanting to do consistenly is sit on my lap. He isn't sick, he just wants to chill it seems.

No, he's only 8. He goes by sound when the squirrels are around most of the time.

Fuzzy figured out he can't catch the birds outside so he isn't as interested now

There was one standing on a box and you could see his tail and squirrel butt from the window..and he didn't jump up to see it...go figure..I think birds would be a bigger hit.

I guess it’s a different season of life. I’m kind of surprised my Sadie has the energy she has, but we’re not really sure how old she is. She has to be ten by now though.

Well, as you know chichaua's live for a long time. It isn't unusual for them to hit 20. Of course cats can too. I have had a couple of long lived ones. Usually that isn't the norm for me though.

I wish I had more wildlife to entertain him. He isn't that interested in deer. They would have to come up and look in he window for him to enjoy them I think.

@LadyDuck Yeah, he does find that exciting. The birds don't generally come near the porch though. They are off in the trees. I can hear one out there now, but he isn't that close.

@snowy22315 - I am sure he would like to see more birds coming close to the window.

He is always wanting something, but that is not unusual. He has always been a demanding little cuss.

Aww he sounds like he's just getting more mellow with age. Lap time is the best anyway, I'd take that over chasing squirrels too. Glad he's not sick, sometimes they just want to chill and be close to you.

Maybe Nico just wants some mommy cuddles. It's sad when we see our pets start to slow down.

He's not usually one for sitting quietly on your lap, is he?
