One major thing done

I would have gotten more done today, but instead I met Jane for a soft drink and then went to the thrift shop. My major accomplishment is that I got a turkey into the roaster, cooked, cooled, deboned and put away. I also strained the broth from it and that is in the refrigerator. I will not make bone broth this time, I have a lot on hand. I will bag the bones with the trash and take them out in the morning. I am proud of me for following through and getting it deboned. Guess you all know I will eat a lot of turkey for the next week. I even shared with the cats. Fresh, warm, roasted turkey.

I’m sure glad you got the chance to be with Jane while. Friends are the best, aren’t they. Add turkey and it’s all the better.

LOL! I'm glad you got the turkey done and deboned. I still have several quart bags of turkey meat in the freezer. I made scrambled eggs with smoked turkey a few days ago. It was delicious.

I am happy for you that you had such a balanced day. Fun out with your friend, and a good turkey done with leftovers to look forward to. We will do our bird tomorrow. I do love the smell of it cooking.

Good for you getting the whole turkey done in one day, deboning is the part I always put off. Fresh warm turkey for the cats is so sweet, bet they were hanging around the kitchen the whole time. Enjoy all that turkey this week, sounds like you earned it.
