Turtles hitchhiking on a crocodile

Reptiles and wild animals have some weird relationships and interactions! I saw this in the reptile park we visited last weekend. I noticed that a lot of the areas had turtles and crocodiles together and no-one was fighting! This spectacle caught my attention - 2 turtles having a joyride on a crocodile under the sun! The crocodile didn't seem to mind the extra weight and the turtles were grinning with joy! I wonder if it's the same in the wild. What were some interesting animal interactions you've seen?

That is an awesome photo, it looks as if they are watching each others back. Could it be that the crock surfaced and accidentally picked them up in the process?

I don't know much about crocks but I do know that turtles are opportunists so maybe if a crock is not moving they use it as if it were a tree limb @pitstop

That's nice for sure! I just hope that the crocodile won't chase them when the turtles landed

Nothing like this till now. Even in Zoo, we did not see anything that significant. May be we need to explore some other places to see such interactions.

Haha that's wild, turtles just chilling on a croc like it's a free taxi. I always figured crocs would snap at anything near them, so this is really surprising. Sounds like a fun trip, thanks for sharing it.
