So, as mentioned I went to Costco yesterday. I forgot to look at the dishwasher soap though..I got a huge supply from there maybe 9 months ago for about 14 dollars..but am getting down to the end now. However, one thing I wanted to get there was maple syrup. You can usually get a large container there for a decent price..much cheaper than other places. So I bought one, price might have been up a little, but it wasn't that inexpensive last year. It is a cute large bottle that looks pretty fancy. I was curious as to where it came from, and it says product of Canada, which surprised me..because of the tariffs. I thought if it was an import it would be double or triple the price. However, I guess something was worked out there. Where there is a will, there is a way! Mutal benefit to both.

May be the syrup was imported before the tariffs.

@snowy22315 I checked online and the price of Maple syrup imported from Canada should cost 25% more after the tariffs. You got a good deal.

That's great that you got the maple syrup at a decent price. Who knows these days with all the tariffs what will be available and how much it's going to cost.

Maybe it's stuff they've had in stock although that seems unlikely.

I think you might be right. Either that or they are just eating the tariffs

Ha, that's good to know about the maple syrup. I would have guessed the price jumped too with all the tariff talk. Guess they figured something out, those big bottles are a great deal when you find one.

Yeah, it will last me a year. Sometimes I find recipes that specifically call for something like a Tbs. of maple syrup. Of course it is super on breakfast items too.
