Whoa. I was surprised when she revealed that she was pregnant with twins at 48. Well now she has announced that she is expecting and due in December at the age of 52. How does that even happen? (I mean I know but you know what I mean) I am almost 50 and I can't imagine being a parent of toddlers and an infant right now--especially as someone who works. Granted she is a multi-millionaire and can afford to take time off and hire plenty of help but still. I mean no judgement and good for her since it is clearly what she wants. I've never wanted to be a mother so the whole idea sounded just as terrible to me at 30 as it does not at 49. I can only imagine that she's undergone some kind of fertility treatments but that's pure speculation on my part. https://www.dailymail.com/tvshowbiz/article-16212903/Hilary-Swank-pregnant-bump-baby-cbs-today.html

Those kids probably will know the hired help= the nanny, housekeeper and cook- more than they will know their Mom and Dad.

@njchicaa As a child I’d have been humiliated going to school and all the other kids knowing my mother was and old woman and was still doing “that”!

I’m 45, and if I were pregnant now I’d just cry. I’m happy she’s happy about bringing a new life in the world, and she can certainly afford the best health care and nannies, but wow.

Even as a person, who was once a child, I cannot imagine having my Mom be the one that looks as old as the other students' grandmother does. I hope that she has a long and healthy life, it would be sad for the child to lose their parent in their early 20's when they need them so badly for direction and guidance in life and the real world after graduation. One of my aunts had a change of life baby, there was such a generation gap there, and that cousin always acted much older than her years. I was an empty-nester parent at the age of 51, it was great.

My mom had to go through WW II and DP Camps in Germany where she lost several babies, Finally arriving in NYC the doctor from Latvia who had delivered her found out she had polyps and once those were operated she finally had one child ME at the age of 45.

Good luck to her but I bet she'll be glad she can employ whatever help she wants. She's going to need it.

Good for her if it's what she wants, but I honestly don't know how anyone does it at that age. Toddlers and a newborn at the same time sounds exhausting even with lots of help. I'm with you though, no judgement from me.
