I'm enjoying my petunias

We have road-verge pickups from time to time and several years ago we picked up two troughs. I’ve never got around to planting anything in them until this year but now I’ve planted them with petunia seedlings. I’ve been dead-heading the plants and what you see in the photo is the second lot of blooms. I’m enjoying seeing them each day and like the two-tone colours of them. I think petunias are common in many countries.

@JudyEv They certainly are common and there’s a reason for that - they’re lovely. They brighten even the drabbest piece of dirt and you have lovely specimens there.

They certainly brighten my day. Two days ago there were no flowers, only buds and suddenly I have troughs full of blooms again.

Those petunias look lovely, and the two-tone colours are so pretty. Nice that the troughs finally got used after sitting for years. Second round of blooms is a good sign you're doing something right.

Yes, petunias are pretty common but always an explosion of color.
