What’s your MyLot story ? How did you get here ?

I just did a post about the fact that my family have lived in the same house since 1975. It made me think of all the changes that have happened in that time. It also got me thinking about my arrival and journey on MyLot …. Here is my story ….. I came from another site about a decade ago….as did several others. Whilst others had already been here for many years … I loved being here and made some good friends. As well as keeping in touch with those that had also moved from the other site. However, life happens, and I didn’t come on here for awhile…. Then I had an accident which meant I was off work for the longest time. I was limited as to what I could do. That’s when I came back on here. I was able to spend a lot of time here and really enjoyed being back and although some of my previous friends have left, for various reasons, I have made new friends and am meeting through their posts new folks every day. Now, I am happily retired and spend a fair bit of time here. I love it and the people. I wonder …. What’s YOUR MyLot story …… ?

@traceyjayne I too migrated from another site - Bubblews. I was invited so to do by Val Mills from New Zealand. Before that I had ‘known’ her on Triond.

@Traceyjayne The earning there was phenomenal. At its short-lived height I was earning $25 a day. Then it went kaput as you know.

Twenty years ago my then best friend (also named Amber) invited me to Mylot. Two decades later, she is no longer on Mylot, and hasn’t been for over a decade. I absolutely love it, and have made incredible friends. I even had the blessing of meeting two Mylotters. So many people have supported me through so much. *The other Amber and I are still Facebook friends, but she had three kids, moved a state away, and her life went in a different direction.

@Traceyjayne I value the close friendship we had for so long. Some things just last for a season, but they were worth the effort.

@AmbiePam. Interesting story …it’s strange isn’t it that you can be such good friends with someone and then suddenly your lives go in completely different directions.

Many years ago I was on a site that talked about various opportunities to earn money online. I thought a discussion forum sounded interesting so I signed up. It was fun. I was on here a few years, but it started to change..with replies being negated..and so forth. I left, but I was on another site several years later. People were talking about earning money on mylot. I was surprised it was still around. I checked it out, and the rest is history.

My journey here is very similar to yours. Came from a different site which was rapidly going down the drain and this place was recommended to me by many of my friends on that now defunct site. So, I've been chatting with many friends here for years and years and have made new friends along the way. In all these past years, I've also retired, moved from New York to Pennsylvania and am happy to spend as much time here as I can.

@Marilynda. That’s a great story . It seems that lots of us have been on other sites before coming on here.

As many myLotters, I migrated here from Bubblews. I think to remember that @thea09 (Katerina) invited me to join. I miss her here.
