Have you ever heard "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"?
Eating an apple a day does not automatically mean you will never get sick or never need to see a doctor. Scientific research indicates that people who regularly eat apples do not necessarily visit the doctor less frequently than those who rarely eat them.
This saying is actually an old-fashioned figure of speech that emphasizes the importance of consuming nutritious food particularly fruits to maintain overall physical health.
Although they cannot replace the role of a doctor, apples are highly nutritious fruits, rich in beneficial components such as fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Yep, I've heard it. While apples are good for you, I don't know that they would keep you from seeing a doctor...
