I worked a lot and worked many hours to help support my family. My kids had everything that they needed. They did not go without anything.
They did sports and swimming and all loved to go roller skating with me. I was talking to my youngest one today and he said he had a good life and was glad we adopted him.
When we retired we sold our four bedroom house and moved to Oregon. We bought a smaller two bed room house and a new car.
We are not rich but everything we have is paid for. We do not have a debt and we have a good life. Good health and can go for two half hour walks every day.. I love walking down by the river to see the wild animals there.
How about you do you have a good life? Being retired is fun. I retired at 61 and my husband retired at 62.

The best thing about retirement of not having to punch a time clock and not deal with the workplace.

Seeing photo of the cats,at first,i thought we were talking about them
adopting is the the nicest thing you could do. I wish i was rich like you;having kids and partner that loves you.and, yes, staying healthy today is a privilege.
my father had a good job but he never wanted to know the things i like and was always making jokes but sometimes these jokes felt like mocking.and mother was doing everything for us and instead of him. there was a sense of duty but no love in that house.love was expressed through food and occassional clothes and that was it.and fake smiles too.no deep conversations as well.i didn't open up,they didn't ask.and when something serious happened, they put it under the rug.i have a sister but she's in love with herself and was rough with me.i had no direction or guidance in life and spent most of the time feeling guilty for,i feel, just existing.you're a blessed person and i hope it stays like that for you

You have done well to get where you are; raising your children well and now you're reaping the rewards. Good for you.
