Firefighters in Elyria Ohio answered an emergency call on Wednesday morning when a dog was trapped in the Black River and the dog needed to be rescued.
The Elyria firefighters went into the Black River and they were successful in getting the dog who was stuck on a log safely.
The log was upstream in the river of the low head dam when the dog was rescued by the firefighters.
The good news is that none of the firefighters and the dog suffered any injuries in the rescue mission.

Some of these rescue missions can be quite intense.

Perhaps being stuck on a log helped the dog stay afloat and prevented it from drowning, or going over the falls. The recue looks a hairy one from the picture.

I am sure that the log kept the dog from drowning in the river.
