Do you get a lot of packages this time of year? Do you receive big ticket items now or during the holidays? As usual thieves are always around, and we need to be alert. I thought it was a great idea to black out all addresses and tear off pictures on boxes of large ticket items you've gotten. Maybe take the time to rip up the box and be sure no pictures are left on them for people going by to see. If left a thieve could then evaluate your home as a good place to break in to. The less info we give them the better.

That is a good idea. I never thought of stuff like that. Don't get too many packages, but still worth thinking about

I think so. It only needs to be one big ticket item that a thief sees a pic of on a box at your garbage.

@celticeagle Well I guess it is good that this is a complex so we only have one big garbage for everyone. But then they could try to go to all the apartments I guess

I don't get much delivered, but I have been removing labels before recycling boxes for a long time now. If for some reason my address is on one of those impossible to remove stickers, I black it out with my trusty black marker. I agree, don't hand out your information if you don't have to.

The thieves in our country uses technology for stealing these days. It's because people are not careful what they post on their social media accounts. They boast about their new iPhones, new MacBooks, etc. And they're inviting thieves into their lives!
