I'm Glad I Don't Live in Alaska

Not just because it is cold and way too far out there. No, it also is the most earthquake-prone state in the country. 11% of all earthquakes occur there. A 250,000- mile- long area along the Pacific Ocean, called the Ring of Fire, characterized by both volcanic and seismic activity and Alaska is a part of it.
Alaska has experienced an average of one magnitude 7 to 8 earthquake every year since 1900, and one "great" earthquake (magnitude 8 or higher) every 13 years.
I haven't felt an earthquake here in about 5 years or so.

I live in such a place though it's never been cold but we are prone to earthquakes, tsunamis, and typhoons. Not to mention flash floods.

Just now
@celticeagle Fortunately, I don't live in areas where there are flash floods or getting flooded quite often. I can say I live in a safe space.

I wouldn't want to either. Never knew they had that many earthquakes
